Piedmont Church decided to open a preschool for its members in 1969 as a ministry of the church and to the community. Over the years the name changed from Preschool to Weekday Preschool and then to Academy. Like the name, the program evolved from daycare to a Christian Early Education program. The State of Georgia recognizes Piedmont Academy as a preschool program and oversees the operation in accord with regulations.
Our professional staff is committed to providing a safe and nurturing environment that embraces each child for who they are and helps to develop each of them to their God given potential. We consider it a priviledge to have your child in the program. Our learning environment is facilitated by WEE Learn, Day By Day, High Scope, and Scholastic Curriculum as well as other supplementary resources. The program offers a variety of age appropriate learning experiences that will allow each child to explore, experiment, develop individuality, and become independent. With hands-on activities in learning centers and positive Christian role modeling, our staff is building strong foundations spiritually, intellectually, socially, emotionally, and physically to help each child develop into happy confident learner.
Piedmont Academy is an extended ministry of the church which embraces opportunities to build a faith foundation in the life of each preschooler.
